Estimating total cost

For a full house repaint spanning multiple rooms, it's worth calculating each room separately (since door/window counts and areas differ) rather than estimating a single average per-room figure — a small bathroom and a large living room need very different paint quantities despite sometimes being budgeted as if they were similar-sized rooms.
